It's official. We are invited to come to China and we have our embassy and visa appointments. Gary is chopping at the bit to book tickets: I'd like to wait until we get two quotes. I'll let you know what happens.
We are in the process of finding caregivers to take love Garrison and Noel while we are gone. Mom and Dad Petty will be unable to come. It never ceases to amaze me that while we can have everything laid out, God is in control and can change things in a moments notice. We are so thankful that Papa Petty is getting better. We are thankful that his blockage didn't happen while they were in Michigan. We are thankful that he is in fact still alive. It'll be great to hug him this week-end.
We are also amazed at how God is taking care of us through friends, especially at church. People are so generous to make us meals, volunteer to watch our kids, and certainly promise to pray for us. We have been moved to tears numerous times. Our God is good.
November will be a life changing month for the Spricks. You wait and wait. . . now I'd almost like a little more time to get used to the whole idea, take a few more outings with just two kids. . . do a blog page in the middle of the day. . . have one kid in each room so hopefully they won't wake the other. . . all that is about to end. God is in this, it is of Him. For that we are thankful.
