Orphans

Hi friends

We had a get-together at church yesterday to talk about orphans. We heard about how God set up provisions for the orphans, about He cares for them, about how we need to care for them. It has caused Gary and I to pause, to talk, and to dream about the future. Is there another orphan in our future? We adore Simon and are so thankful that he is a member of our family, that he is a child of the King. Is there another child of ours whose DNA doesn't match, yet is part of our hearts?
Right now in Michigan there are 6,000 kids who are available for adoption. If one family from every church adopted a child, there wouldn't be any more orphans in our state. Does that statement give you pause? It paused us. Are we being called by God to support others who are adopting? Of course!
People are talking. I pray that talking leads to action.
