Stay or go?

Garrison is enrolled in Kindergarten for next year. Simon is enrolled in pre-school for next year. Noel is enrolled in three-school for next year.

We've recently begun to think and pray about holding Garrison back a year. He is doing great academically, but socially. . . he is still young. His birthday is in August. Send him and he'll be one of the youngest. Hold him and he'll be one of the oldest.

I'd hold him back in a second if it weren't for my second son, the one who will be sharing a classroom with his older brother. They adore each other: sometimes too much. Their wrestling, laughter, fighting, inside jokes, and general merriment don't seem to know boundaries. At home: fine. In children's worship: not fine. Competition in eighth grade? Both liking the same chicas? Always sharing an event with your brother? (graduation, prom, etc.)

We had him tested right before Spring Break and we haven't received the results yet. We'll let you know what we decide. In the meantime: we'd appreciate your prayers. We are making a decision that will in many ways affect the lives of our boys.

I know that God will give us peace. I love that about my God.
