Mom tips are big. Big on the radio. Big on blogs. Big.
Here is my mom tip for the day.
Let's just say that your youngest daughter is spreading her wings and a little on the. . . ahem. . stubborn side at times. Let's just say that you know she is fully capable of eating 1/2 a brat without a bun. Perhaps she insists on a whole brat not cut up and on a bun. You explain that she can have one, but she will have to eat it. She insists. You persist. "If you take a whole brat and a whole bun and don't eat it, then you will eat it for breakfast. Do you understand?" She does.
She covers everything in ketchup (yum?) and enjoys her supper. . . about 1/2 a brat and no bun. (Let the record show that her mama knows her. cough cough)
So here is the mom tip. It was awesome to have her eat her brat and ketchup stained bun for breakfast! She sat at the table for over and hour and I didn't have to watch her or discipline her or take away any markers or lip gloss or legos or toilet paper at all! I'm so proud of myself. So let your three year old take what they'd like and then when they have to eat it later, it'll take a super long time and it is much easier to parent them! :) It gave me more time to focus on Garrison who played a game on the local radio station this morning. He won a gift card to Captain Sundae. Guess where we are going tonight?!?
And Penny? She ate it all.

I love this! My Jenna is so similar. We fought over a brat that was not served to her standards just the other day...and yes, she's enjoyed many-a supper for breakfast too!
