Sometimes

Sometimes you put chicken on the grill in the middle of the day because you were supposed to grill it last night but went out for an emergency picnic instead.  (With the weather so amazing last night--picnicing was an emergency!)  Sometimes you forget about it because you aren't focused on it and then you burn it.  I'll scrape and call it crispy chicken.

Sometimes you have very little on your grocery list and it still totals more than one hundred dollars.  How does that happen?

Sometimes you dig up half of your black-eyed susans and realize afterward that you didn't take your allergy medicine first.  Now your forearms and legs have red spots all over them.  Little bit itchy.

Sometimes Penny writes in ink on the floral chair.  It's o.k. because there is a hole in the chair anyway.  It is now the character chair.

Sometimes you buy a new-to-you car from a dealer in Florida.  It is a 2006 Honda Hybrid Civic.  We've been looking and knew this one was ours.  How you might ask?  It has orange leather interior.  ORANGE!  It'll be here in a week.  Her name might be Dottie.  I have to drive her first.

Sometimes you put your truck up for sale and hope that it sells quickly. . . and for a good price.  Look at how God is taking care of our adoption expenses!  (Price of truck - price of car = payment to agency next week!)

Sometimes you get so very excited about your new Bible Study after a leader's meeting.

Sometimes your daughter forgets her lunch bag at school.  You hope this isn't a pattern.

Sometimes you pay attention and read all of the e-mails about preschool.  Then you print out the pictures and buy all the glue sticks.  You are prepared and on top of things.  You pat yourself on the back.  Then you forget to bring them to the parent meeting.

Always God is praised in this household.  He is showing Himself so faithful every day.
